Committee Overview

The BC Association of Chiefs of Police Standing Committees and Special Purpose Committees are key drivers of the Association’s work.

Through the expertise and leadership of our members and partners, they address significant issues affecting policing and public safety in British Columbia, shape policy, establish BCACP positions and advocacy priorities, support provincial coordination, and develop practical responses to emerging and complex issues.

 
Standing Committees

Standing Committees maintain an ongoing focus on established areas of priority for the Association. Current Standing Committees include:

Special Purpose Committees

Special Purpose Committees are established to address specific priorities, emerging issues or areas requiring focused attention.

They provide dedicated expertise and coordination for a defined mandate and may evolve as the needs and priorities of the Association change.
