BCACP is proud to support 30Forward and has signed the national pledge for cultural and systemic change in policing.
30Forward is a national Canadian framework focused on building a more inclusive, accountable and sustainable policing profession. Its pledge is rooted in the lived experiences of more than 100 members across Canadian police services and is supported by emerging national research.
The framework focuses on practical commitments across six areas: representation and recruitment; retention, wellness and family support; mentorship and leadership development; allyship and inclusive culture; policy and system reform; and accountability and measurement.
BCACP Commitment
By signing the 30Forward pledge, BCACP has joined police services and organizations across Canada in supporting measurable action to improve recruitment, retention, advancement, mentorship, leadership development and workplace culture across policing. The pledge also emphasizes transparency, accountability and the importance of sharing progress and learning nationally.
BCACP’s participation reflects our support for a policing profession where members across ranks, roles and career stages are supported to grow, lead and thrive.
Mentorship & Resources
30Forward also offers a national mentorship network and member resources for those who would like to become a mentor or mentee, explore research and tools, or become more involved in the initiative. Individuals can register for access through the 30Forward member area. The registration process specifically allows participants to indicate whether they are interested in joining as an informal mentor, certified mentor or mentee.
